Fall Festivals

Our real estate agents love Richmond in autumn. Cooler weather makes it one of the best seasons to spend time outdoors, which is why fall is prime festival season here in Central Virginia. These are some of the upcoming fall festivals we're most excited about in Richmond and the surrounding areas!

  • Festival of Grapes & Hops - 277 River St, Petersburg, VA 23803
The 2025 Festival of Grapes and Hops will take place on September 20, bringing a celebration of local craft beverages to historic Downtown Petersburg. Along with musical entertainment from 11 am to 6 pm, the festival will include wine and beer tastings from regional wineries and breweries, along with vendors from across the commonwealth. It's a perfect opportunity to check out these Petersburg homes for sale

  • OystoberFest - 3602 Hawthorne Ave, Richmond, VA 23222
If you love oysters, then you simply cannot miss OystoberFest, which returns to Richmond on October 4, 2025. Hosted by St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Ginter Park, the festivities run from noon until 6 pm. OystoberFest will feature a tremendous array of oysters—steamed, fried, grilled, and raw—along with live music, craft beverages, and a kids' zone, all within minutes of many Richmond homes for sale

  • 2nd Street Festival - N 2nd St, Richmond, VA 23219
Celebrating the rich culture of the historic Jackson Ward neighborhood, the 2nd Street Festival is a beloved annual event just a few blocks from the heart of Downtown Richmond. Complete with street vendors and music, the festival takes over a lengthy stretch of 2nd Street across the first full weekend in October, attracting 30,000 attendees to the neighborhood once known as the "Harlem of the South."

  • Richmond Folk Festival - S 7th St, Richmond, VA 23219
One of Virginia's biggest musical events of the year, the Richmond Folk Festival is slated to return to Brown's Island and the Richmond Riverfront on October 10-12, 2025. Free to attend, this music festival highlights a wide range of traditional folk music. This year's lineup of performers ranges from bluegrass and zydeco to Armenian and Cuban folk styles.

  • Richmond Oktoberfest - 600 E Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23222
Now in its 55th year, Richmond Oktoberfest is one of Virginia's best traditional Oktoberfest celebrations. This year's event takes place on October 17-18 at the Richmond Raceway Complex and will include a lively blend of authentic German music, dancing, and entertainment. Traditional food, including German potato pancakes, pretzels, bratwurst, and knackwurst, will be available, and there will be no shortage of beer from Germany's most legendary breweries.

  • Scott's Addition Pumpkin Festival - 2401 W Leigh St, Richmond, VA 23220
Free to attend, the Scott's Addition Pumpkin Festival has become one of the most anticipated family events of the fall season in Richmond. The festival begins at noon on October 25 at the Midtown Green near the revitalized Scott's Addition Historic District. Live bands, food and drink vendors, and Richmond's most epic Halloween costume contest are highlights of this exciting event.
